For They Are Happy

This us a poem I thought up in bed last night while I was half asleep. And it is kinda based on a true story but mostly really super duper exagerated.

It all starts with a boy and girl
who had the world at their feet
They said they were friends and nothing else
So the story goes.
She thought it was more.

He met his dream one day by chance
and showed the world his feelings.
She couldn't pretend he was hers anymore.
She saw the truth and told herself
At least he is happy.

While they skipped and laughed in their happy world
only filled with one another,
she sat alone in a crowded room trying to remember
what it felt like to be her.
At least he is happy.

A simple truth universally acknowledged
never should hurt so much.
'My chance will come. I'll find the one that will fill Mr Darcy's shoes'
She still waits and wonders
When she'll be the one that's happy.

Ok the poem can end here if ya want. But I kinda made an alternent ending that was suppossed to be serious and dramatic and it turned out to be a joke, so there you go!

One day, while she was walking
trying to look content,
a man with a gun and a cruel scowl turned his weapon at her
"Whats your problem little doll?
Wanna meet your maker?"

She thought of him, and his sweet smile
then of his love's perfection.
She could never be that special girl so why did she keep trying
to live the life she'd never live and said to this man,
"Bring it."

He drew the pistol, took aim, and fired.
The sound defied description.
Her body fell with a staggering crumble.
The man turned to run
to escape the sirans that erupted.

It could also end here too if you are the dramatic type. Now if you hate gushy endings, here's the ending for you...

Then suddenly, with defining fury
the dead who wasn't dead at all
kararte chopped this ugly gunman.
she grabbed him firmly by the left ear lobe
and presented him to the cops.

For you see, no one can shoot a ninja maiden
especially when she's Krista Larsen.

The End!
